For those who want to test the waters and try scuba, this is the course for you! The SDI Scuba Discovery Program gives you a glimpse of what you can expect to experience in the underwater world as well as what you could expect to learn in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course. During this experience program, you will go through the basic safety procedures for enjoyable scuba diving under the watchful eye of an active SDI Instructor.
You will learn skills such as equalizing your ears, buddy checks, basic buoyancy control, underwater communication, and more. You will also be given an introduction to basic scuba equipment followed by an underwater tour in the local pool or aquatic environment.

Scuba Discovery at Nooga Scuba
Here at Nooga Scuba we offer a few different options for the Scuba Discovery Program.
1st If you want to try scuba diving by yourself one on one with the instructor it is $60 for a one hour session in the pool with just you and an instructor, including the required class elements. This will include all needed equipment, not including a bathing suit, pool side. All needed equipment includes: Mask, snorkel, fins, weights, weight belt, BCD, regulator, and tank.
2nd If you and a few friends or family want to try scuba diving together, Up to 6 per group together it costs $45 per person. Each group would get an hour in the pool with the instructor, including the required class elements. This will include all needed equipment, not including a bathing suit, pool side. All needed equipment includes: Mask, snorkel, fins, weights, weight belt, BCD, regulator, and tank.
3rd If you join one of our planned Scuba Discovery sessions in Chattanooga, again up to 6 people per group, regular cost is $35 per person. Each group would get an hour in the pool with the instructor, including the required class elements. This will include all needed equipment, not including a bathing suit, pool side.
